I am glad you kept pushing me away
I learnt the art of staying away, from you

I am glad you kept disrespecting me
I learnt to respect myself more than you

I am glad you asked me to stay with your folks
I learnt parents can never be replaced with namesakes

I am glad you never took part in my festivities
I learnt how I could still have fun without you

I am glad you never said you loved me truly
Because that taught me to love myself everyday

So I am glad you came in my life somehow unwarranted
But I now know who I am and can move on without you.
