School Friend

She used to be my best friend
We drifted apart there after
Soon were busy in our own worlds
Met after ages one day afresh
And promptly stayed in touch anew

You could see one was visibly torn
while the other was shattered inside

We soon drifted apart again - digression
Her madness took the better of her
while mine made me psychedelic
Though our love for one other stayed
One gloomy day she left for the unknown.
