the truth is the sooner you accept it

the easier life gets each passing day

though how painful it may seem

eventually one sees it today or tomorrow

that love and only love for someone

won't save you but your own very self

the choice is not yours to force them

unless they choose to love you

your self care, financial independence

no expectations, pragmatic outlook

and all those things that cut you 

from depending on someone else 

is what will become your true consort

and this what shall bring you 

your own happiness and comfort

that you always deserved.

You came uncalled unexpected

Bringing light into my life
